Mad Science, magic wedding part3

Days passed and it was the Mad Scientists who were first to offer their first idea as to what they thought was a perfect wedding for Cire and Ina. With Kalie standing at his side, Dr. Wesson motioned for his son, Cire, his fiancée, Ina, and her mother to step onto a transport platform. The moment they were ready, they vanished and reappeared in the center of what seemed to have been an ancient Inca city in a dense jungle.

There were three temples, resembling pyramids in a triangular formation; one faced the rising sun with the other the moon while the third faced the North Star. There were grand statues around each pyramid with a number of smaller dwellings between the three with a great stone wall surrounding it all.

“Since the beginning of their time, humans have been curious of their surroundings and yearned to understand it.” Smiling, he began. “The Inca were among the first to use science to understand and conquer their part of the world. This is where the wedding will begin.”

“Well this is a charming location.” Unimpressed, Ina’s mother commented.
Dr. Wesson grinned before pressing a button. “Never criticize the cuisine before it is served.”

The ground trembled beneath them as the statues shed their stone exterior, revealing the shimmering metal underneath. The three pyramids opened revealing three massive satellite dishes which began to glow and hum before they fired a blast into the sky. Less than a second later, the group found themselves standing among the stars with Earth below them, Venus behind and Mars ahead of them. Cire and Ina looked about in awe as Ina’s mother grasped her chest in utter fright. She was not expecting this and that brought a satisfied smile onto Dr. Wesson’s face.

“Behold, Cire.” Motioning around them, he said. “What could be a more perfect wedding than to walk down the aisle literally among the stars?”

“It’s magical.” Whispering, Ina said.

“You will soon find that mad science is a magic all its own, my dear.” Softly, Kalie said. “The wonders we can create…”

“Alight; I admit I am impressed.” Grudgingly, Ina’s mother said. “However, we are yet to have our turn.”

“This is just the wedding.” With a confident grin, Dr. Wesson said. “Just wait until you see what we have in mind for the reception.”

“First, we have our turn, mad scientist.”

“Go for it, witch.”
Well, its finally up. The third chapter of this campfire story.
